Calder & Stone is a small advisory for people buying and selling fine homes across Britain. We are not a high-street agency. We take a handful of houses, and a handful of clients, at a time — and give each the attention a significant move deserves: quiet, well informed, and entirely on your side.

A contemporary house set quietly into the South Downs — Portland stone, glass and a long view, built to sit lightly in the land.

White stucco, city calm.
A classic stucco-fronted town house on a garden square — tall windows, high ceilings and the rare quiet of central London done properly.

Water, willow, a slower clock.
A Georgian mill beautifully converted beside its own millpond — light from three sides and the sound of moving water.

Estuary light, room to breathe.
A light, modern house above a Cornish estuary, with broad terraces and glazed doors that open the rooms straight to the sea.

The Approach
We represent the home, not just the house.
Light, proportion and the way a morning falls across a room — the things a floor plan never shows. We present each home so the right buyer recognises it at once.
Place
A home is also where it stands.
Aspect, village, the school run and the walk to the pub matter as much as the house. We know the lanes as well as the listings — and we will tell you honestly when a place is right, and when it isn’t.

Room to breathe, and to stay.
We look for homes with good bones and good light — the kind you settle into rather than out of, and hand on in better heart than you found them.

Advise. We start with the move, not the listing — what you are really trying to do, and by when.
Find. We bring you a short, honest list, including homes that never reach the open market.
Represent. Selling, we present a home properly and speak for it with judgement, not pressure.
See it through. We hold the detail — survey to searches to keys — so the move stays calm.
